Tawhirimatea House are fundraising for I Am Hope for this year's charity - in support of Adolescent Mental Health. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation on Wednesday, 18 May and give it to their Form Teacher at form time.
I Am Hope promotes positive changes to attitudes around mental health throughout New Zealand, and funds private care and counselling for young people stuck-in-the-mud on waiting lists. I Am Hope offers hope and a voice to young people in our country through various projects. They connect kids with free mental health counsellors online or in their region, so they can get timely support. I Am Hope aims to reduce the stigma around mental health by raising awareness and starting conversations.
